01 Overview

SocialsBridge ("we," "our," or "us") operates an API gateway service that enables SaaS platforms to publish content to social media networks. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our API services, website, and related products (collectively, the "Service").

TL;DR

We collect only what's necessary to operate the API gateway. We never sell your data. Your users' social media credentials are encrypted and used solely to publish content on their behalf through your platform.

02 Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register for our API service, we collect:

  • Name and email address
  • Company or organization name
  • Billing information (processed by third-party payment providers)
  • API credentials and authentication tokens

API Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with our API, including:

  • API request logs (endpoints called, timestamps, response codes)
  • Rate limit usage and quota consumption
  • IP addresses and user agent strings
  • Error logs for debugging and support purposes

Social Media Tokens

When end-users of your platform connect their social media accounts through our OAuth flows, we collect and securely store the access tokens and refresh tokens necessary to publish content on their behalf. We do not collect social media passwords.

03 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our API gateway service
  • Process and deliver content publishing requests to social media platforms
  • Manage authentication and authorization for connected social accounts
  • Monitor service performance, uptime, and reliability
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
  • Send service-related communications (outage alerts, API changes, billing)
  • Generate anonymized, aggregated analytics to improve the Service

04 Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Social Media Platforms: We transmit content and authentication tokens to social media platforms solely to fulfill publishing requests initiated through your application
  • Service Providers: We use trusted third-party vendors for hosting, payment processing, and analytics who are bound by contractual data protection obligations
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, or legal process
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction

05 Social Media Data Handling

As an API gateway, we handle social media data with particular care:

  • We act as a data processor on behalf of your platform (the data controller)
  • Content submitted for publishing passes through our systems and is not stored beyond the time necessary to complete the publishing request and provide status callbacks
  • Social media tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption
  • We do not read, analyze, or mine the content you publish through our API for advertising or profiling purposes
  • End-users can revoke access to their social media accounts at any time through your platform or directly on the social media platform

SocialsBridge operates as an infrastructure layer. We do not own, control, or assume liability for the content published through our API. You are responsible for ensuring content complies with each social media platform's terms of service and community guidelines.

06 Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

  • All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.3
  • Social media tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256
  • API authentication via bearer tokens with automatic rotation capabilities
  • Infrastructure hosted on SOC 2 compliant cloud providers
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Access controls and audit logging for internal systems

While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

07 Data Retention

We retain your data according to the following policies:

  • Account data: Retained for the duration of your active account plus 30 days after deletion
  • API logs: Retained for 90 days for debugging and support, then automatically purged
  • Publishing content: Temporarily cached during processing, deleted within 24 hours of successful delivery
  • Social media tokens: Retained until the end-user disconnects their account or you request deletion
  • Billing records: Retained as required by applicable tax and accounting laws

08 Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
  • Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection: Object to certain types of data processing
  • Restriction: Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances

09 Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses minimal cookies necessary for functionality:

  • Essential cookies: Required for authentication and session management on the developer dashboard
  • Analytics cookies: Anonymous usage analytics to improve our website (can be opted out)

Our API endpoints do not use cookies. Authentication is handled exclusively via API keys and bearer tokens.

10 Children's Privacy

SocialsBridge is a B2B service not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it.

11 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we will also notify you via email or through a notice in the developer dashboard. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
